Erin and Jade helped me have a very healing home birth after a previous planned home birth ended in a transfer and cesarean. My labors are not easy, but together they were able to get me and my baby over the finish line safely. It was a very family focused event; they even helped my older son (4) cut the cord. I needed some IV fluids, a catheter, medications to control bleeding and sutures after birth, which were all easily and timely available to me. They also helped me have a supported and comfortable postpartum with many wonderful checkups on me & baby right in the comfort of my home. Erin quickly caught an issue on my labwork after birth and made sure I had what I needed to properly recover. She also had good relationships with nearby OB and pediatric providers if needed. I’m so blessed to have had such beautiful care. I wish every woman and family could experience the addition of a new baby in the empowering way we did.

Erin and her team helped me have a safe, peaceful, joyful birth at home with my fifth child. I've been around the block when it comes to birth: a c-section and three hospital vbacs. I have precipitous (very speedy) labors and was anxious about having a baby in the car, so I chose a home birth. I wish I had had all of my babies at home. There are reasons to deliver in a hospital, but at home with Erin and her team I had never felt so cared for, or so confident that our care was evidence based.

So thankful for Erin! I had a VBAC at home with her after a previous home birth in another state ended in a cesarean. It was a very long journey for me to have another baby due to the trauma of that experience, including feeling abandoned by my prior midwife, and so I was really picky when choosing a midwife this time. I wanted someone experienced; skilled with fetal positioning (since my last birth was complicated by malpresentation); with strong clinical skills; good with anxiety and trauma and someone who had good relationships with OBs in case we needed to transfer in labor. Erin met all my criteria and then some, and her student was awesome as well. I always felt my baby and I were safe and well cared for, and my questions were always promptly and throughly addressed even outside of regular appointments. My labor this time was very challenging and not dissimilar to my last. There were many times I wanted to give up but I never felt unsafe or alone--with Erin and her team I always knew me and my baby were in great hands. She consulted with my backup OB when needed, kept me apprised of anything notable, monitored my baby's heartrate and my vitals carefully and helped me navigate some really difficult and tricky aspects of my labor without transferring. She also worked so well with my doula and also my older child, including him in the process where appropriate. I could not have gotten through it without Erin's skill and support. In the end I had a beautiful birth and my baby was born perfect and safe in the privacy of our home. It was a life changing experience for our family to experience birth and postpartum without being hospitalized and separated from our older son. I am so grateful to Erin for it all! I am not sure I would have had the same experience with another midwife and would recommend her enthusiastically to anyone considering a home birth.
